I started in this business at seventeen, working at The Village Trattoria in Maplewood—the kind of place where you do a little bit of everything and learn fast.
Over the years, I've worked nearly every position a restaurant has to offer: dishwasher, delivery driver, prep cook, head chef, kitchen manager, and restaurant manager. Each role helped build the foundation of my career, but it was the ten years I spent running and managing Anthony's Restaurant and Catering, a corporate catering company in Bernardsville, that gave me a deep, firsthand understanding of corporate catering.
I learned what it takes to execute events with precision: managing tight timelines, coordinating logistics, ensuring every order arrives on schedule, hot and looking its best, and making menu adjustments that keep everything from boardroom lunches to all-day conferences running smoothly. In this business, reliability is everything. Companies can't afford a caterer who's late, disorganized, or inconsistent. Spending a decade delivering exactly what was promised—on time, every time—taught me lessons that only experience can provide.
After all these years and in all these kitchens, one thing has never changed: food prepared by someone who has worked every station—and who truly understands what it takes to make a corporate event successful—is simply different. That's the experience, care, and reliability Cam's Catering is built on.
